Arts Festival

The college gives equal importance to academic and non academic activities. The college Arts festival is conducted each year with unique names. In order to ensure the maximum participation from every student and to inculcate in them a spirit of competition, all the students are grouped into four houses. Each group is headed by respective teachers. The competitions are conducted house wise. 

Arts Festival 2020-21

The College Arts Fest was organised through both online and offline modes for the year 2020-’21. Due to the Covid ‘19 pandemic, most of the competitive events were staged online. The major share of activities were done with the aid of Google Classroom, of the name Samanvaya 2020-’21 :

.The initial works of the fest started with dividing students class wise into four teams namely Bhavam, Raagam, Thalam and  Layam inorder to ensure full participation with good competitive spirit. Each team ‘s charge was given to two teachers and two captains. After that list of events, chest numbers and links of google forms were circulated through the captains for enrolling students to events. They were given one week’s time to submit the hardcopy of the individual participation forms to the Arts Club Coordinator. The captains adhered to the instructions and the process went smoothly without much time lag.

 The events were scheduled for three days : two days for online submission (13th and 14th February 2021) and one day for offline presentation (20th February 2021). The following link explains the list of events and their time schedule :

 Thirty one events were staged online through recorded submission and sixteen events were onstaged, thereby this year’s arts fest showcased forty seven events and students’ participation has to be specially mentioned. Under Musical events twenty five students participated, a Kathakali performance under Dance Events, one hundred and thirty six participated under literary events, four under theatre performance and twenty nine participated under fine arts events.

Anju Susan Varghese of first year B.Com bagged the Kalathilakam title with 14 points and M. Thomas Yacob of third year B.Sc. Physics bagged the Kalaprathibha title with 21 points.
